Feature film casting
Felicity, Isabelle & Katie all auditioned for The Nativity 2 starring David Tennant.
The casting team were very impressed & Felicity was recalled. Roles went to Sam and Ellie from First Act. Ellie was also in the original Nativity film. Well done guys!
Casting for the BBC!
Gregory & Jordyn Eve have both been cast in the major new BBC series Line of Duty about corruption within the police force. The series, with an all star cast including Gina McKee (Notting Hill), Lennie James (Snatch, Colombiana) & Neil Morrissey (Men Behaving Badly, Boon), will be five hour-long episodes & is due to be aired in the spring.
Gregory is playing Ryan Pilkington, a main role central to the plotline who appears in episodes 2-5.
Jordyn Eve is playing Natalie Gate, daughter of the corrupt D.I.
They were cast by the team behind Doctor Who & Torchwood & will be filming until November.Well done guys! This is a fantastic achievement & can only mean good things for other members.

Esther off filming...
Over the summer Esther has been down in Kent filming The Happy Wanderer, a short film by award winning film director, writer & actress Alex Kelly (Vera Drake, Tamara Drewe, Psychoville). The film centres around a working class Midlands family on holiday & is set in 1982. The film is due to be entered into film festivals worldwide.
The Present wins Bridport Film Festival!
The Present, a short film adapted & directed by Ross & produced by ISIS Media has won the Bridport Film Festival. The film starring Esther amongst other ex-workshop members is a 60 second short. |
A fond farewell...
...to Catherine, who's off to university to study drama. We thank her for all her hard work with the show. She's been a big part of Dramaworkshop over the last year & we'll miss her. Good luck with your studies!
